Aussie Play Payment Methods
Ten ways to move money in and out — what each one costs you in time, and which ones your bank will actually let through
Aussie Play accepts PayID, POLi, BPAY, Visa and Mastercard debit, Neosurf vouchers, Skrill, Neteller, direct bank transfer, Bitcoin and Ethereum. The minimum deposit is A$20 on every method (A$25 for crypto), deposits are instant apart from BPAY and bank transfer, and Aussie Play charges no fee of its own. Withdrawals cap at A$10,000 per day.
The part that trips people up is that not every deposit method can also pay you out. POLi, BPAY and Neosurf are one-way — money goes in through them and comes back out through something else, usually a bank transfer or a card. If you want your winnings back quickly, pick a rail that works in both directions before you make your first deposit, not after.
Below is every method broken down by how it actually behaves in practice: which ones your bank blocks, which ones show a foreign-transaction fee, what the descriptor looks like on your statement, and how long each takes once the money is approved. If you only care about speed, jump straight to the withdrawal times breakdown.
Bank rails: PayID, POLi, BPAY and direct transfer
The four ways money moves straight between your Australian bank account and the casino, without a card in the middle.
PayID — the default for most Aussie players
PayID rides the New Payments Platform, so a deposit clears in under a minute at 2am on a Sunday just as fast as on a Tuesday morning. You send from your banking app to a PayID the cashier shows you, and the balance appears while you are still looking at the screen. It is also the quickest way to get paid out — typically 2 to 6 hours once approved.
Min A$20 · Max A$10,000 per day · No fee · Works both ways
POLi — instant, but deposit only
POLi logs you into your internet banking through its own secure window and pushes the transfer for you. No card details change hands and nothing appears on a credit file. The catch is that POLi is a one-direction rail: you cannot be paid out through it, and support will route your withdrawal to a bank transfer instead. A handful of the smaller banks and most neobanks have dropped POLi support, so if the bank list does not include yours, use PayID.
Min A$20 · Instant · No fee · Deposits only
BPAY — slow, but almost never declined
BPAY takes one to two business days to land, which sounds terrible until you have had three card deposits bounced in a row. Because it is a bill payment rather than a merchant transaction, banks essentially never block it. Grab the biller code and reference number from the cashier, pay it from your banking app, then wait. Plenty of players use BPAY as their fallback when everything else fails, and a fair few use it deliberately as a spending brake.
Min A$20 · 1–2 business days · No fee · Deposits only
Direct bank transfer — the payout of last resort
Standard EFT to your BSB and account number. It is the slowest option on the board at five to seven business days, and it is what you will be given if the method you deposited with cannot pay out. Large wins over the daily A$10,000 cap are also paid this way, split across consecutive days. Double-check your BSB before submitting — a transfer sent to the wrong account is a fortnight of paperwork.
Min A$20 · 5–7 business days · No fee · Works both ways
E-wallets: Skrill, Neteller and Neosurf
Useful if you would rather your bank statement said nothing interesting, and genuinely faster on the way out.
Skrill
Instant in, up to 24 hours out. Skrill itself charges a small transfer fee and applies its own AUD conversion when you move money back to your bank, so you lose a bit at each hop. Worth it if you are cashing out weekly rather than once a year.
Min A$20 · Both directions
Neteller
Behaves almost identically to Skrill — same parent company, same speeds, same fee structure. Pick whichever you already hold an account with rather than opening a second one just for this. Verified Neteller accounts clear the casino's checks faster.
Min A$20 · Both directions
Neosurf
A prepaid voucher you buy for cash at a newsagent or servo, then type the code into the cashier. Nothing touches your bank at all. Deposit only, and the voucher amount is the hard ceiling on that session — which is exactly why some players like it.
Min A$20 · Deposits only
Wallet names must match your Aussie Play account name exactly. A Skrill account registered under a nickname or a partner's name will fail verification and hold your payout indefinitely — see the withdrawal guide for what the KYC check actually looks at.
Debit cards: Visa and Mastercard
The method most people reach for first, and the one most likely to be refused.
A Visa or Mastercard debit card works the way you would expect: enter the number, the deposit is instant, and the funds are playable straight away. Withdrawals back to the same card take three to five business days, because the money travels back through the card scheme rather than the banking network.
Credit cards are a different story. Since the Interactive Gambling Amendment came into force, Australian issuers block credit-card gambling transactions outright, and most will decline the attempt before it even reaches the casino. Use a debit card — a Visa Debit, a Mastercard Debit, or an eftpos card carrying one of those logos.
Even on debit, the big four banks screen offshore gambling merchant codes aggressively, and some of the digital-only banks decline them by default in the app settings. If your card keeps bouncing, that is a bank decision, not an Aussie Play one, and no amount of retrying will fix it. Switch to PayID or BPAY.
Works
- Visa Debit issued by an Australian bank
- Mastercard Debit, including most digital banks
- Prepaid Visa and Mastercard cards loaded in AUD
Does not work
- Any Australian credit card — blocked at the issuer
- Cards in someone else's name, even a spouse's
- Expired cards still saved in the cashier
Why your payment got declined
In our experience roughly nine out of ten failed deposits are the bank's doing, not the casino's. Here is how to tell which one you are dealing with.
"Do not honour" / declined by issuer
Your bank refused the merchant category, full stop. Retrying triggers fraud rules and can freeze the card for 24 hours. Go to PayID or BPAY instead.
3-D Secure code never arrives
Almost always a carrier delay on the SMS, or a banking app that needs reopening to receive the push. Wait the full 60 seconds before requesting a new code — asking twice invalidates the first one.
"Insufficient funds" when there clearly are funds
Some banks reserve an authorisation slightly above the deposit amount to cover conversion. Leave a small buffer above what you are depositing and it clears.
Deposit accepted but balance not updated
A cashier session that timed out mid-transaction. The money is not lost — it settles within an hour or reverses automatically. Do not deposit again in the meantime. If the site itself is unreachable, check the live status page first.
Below the minimum
A$20 is the floor on every rail and A$25 on crypto. A$15 will be rejected without a useful error message. The minimum deposit page covers the bonus thresholds too.
Every Aussie Play payment method compared
Minimums, daily ceilings, fees and both directions in one place. Aussie Play adds no fee on any row; anything you pay comes from the provider.

How it looks on your bank statement
Nobody's statement says "Aussie Play Casino" in plain English. Here is what to look for when you are reconciling.
The descriptor is deliberately generic, which is standard for offshore entertainment merchants. That is also why it is worth writing down the reference number the cashier gives you at the time — if you need support to trace a deposit six weeks later, "the one for A$50 in March" is not enough to go on, but an eight-digit reference is.
One more wrinkle: because the merchant is not domiciled in Australia, some banks add an international transaction fee of one to three per cent even though the amount is billed in AUD. Check a past statement before you assume a card is fee-free. PayID and BPAY never attract that charge.
Common mistakes that cost people money
Every one of these turns up regularly in Australian casino forums. All of them are avoidable in about thirty seconds.
Depositing with a one-way method
Fund with POLi, BPAY or Neosurf and your first payout has to be re-routed manually, which adds days. If you are planning to withdraw, deposit with PayID.
Leaving verification until payout day
ID checks take two to four hours during business hours and considerably longer on a Sunday night. Upload your documents on day one and the delay disappears entirely.
Depositing under the bonus threshold
A$19 clears the wallet but not the bonus. Check the offer's minimum before you fund — the difference between A$20 and A$25 can be an entire reload promotion.
Cancelling a pending withdrawal
The reversal drops the money back into your playable balance, and the clock restarts from zero when you request it again. Once it is pending, leave it alone.
Retrying a declined card three times
Repeated attempts look like card testing to fraud systems and can lock the card for a day. One decline is information; three is a self-inflicted problem.
Requesting more than the daily cap
Ask for A$14,000 and the request does not fail gracefully — it sits unprocessed. Split it into A$10,000 today and the balance tomorrow.

Aussie Play payments FAQ
Does Aussie Play charge a deposit fee?
No. Aussie Play adds nothing on deposits or withdrawals. Any charge you see comes from your bank's international transaction fee, a Skrill or Neteller transfer fee, or a crypto network fee.
What is the minimum deposit at Aussie Play?
A$20 on every method except crypto, which starts at A$25. Bonus offers set their own higher thresholds — the minimum deposit page lists each one.
Can I use PayPal at Aussie Play?
No. PayPal does not process gambling transactions for Australian accounts, so it does not appear in the cashier. PayID is the closest equivalent for speed and convenience.
Why can't I withdraw to POLi or BPAY?
Both are push-only rails — they are built to send money to a merchant, not receive it. Aussie Play routes those payouts to a bank transfer or a card instead, which is why they take longer.
Is there a withdrawal limit?
A$10,000 per day across all methods combined. Anything larger is paid in daily instalments, and very large jackpot wins may be scheduled monthly under the terms attached to that game.
Can I deposit with a credit card?
Not from Australia. Issuers block gambling transactions on credit cards under the Interactive Gambling Amendment. Debit cards on the same networks work normally.
How long does the first withdrawal take?
Add two to four hours for ID verification on top of the normal method speed. After that first check, later payouts run at the standard time — see the withdrawal times page.
What if a deposit never arrives?
Give it an hour, then contact live chat with the reference number. Do not deposit again in the meantime — duplicate deposits are refundable but the refund is slower than the original transaction. If the whole site is unresponsive, check the status page.
