Reading the dates in the byline
Three dates sit above the footer on every page, and they mean three different things.
Published

Updated
When the wording last changed — a rewritten section, a new table, a correction. Substantive edits only; we do not bump this to look fresh.
Last checked
The one that matters. When the figures were last confirmed against the live site — even if nothing had changed and no edit was made.

Corrections policy
